Christmas Mini Sessions are officially open for booking at Portraits by Araceli! This year, I’m offering six festive Christmas sets to choose from, giving families across McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley plenty of options for their holiday portraits.
Whether you want something cozy, elegant, playful, or traditional, you can choose the Christmas backdrop that fits your family’s style. These sessions are perfect for Christmas cards, framed portraits, gifts for grandparents, or simply documenting another special holiday season together.
Six Festive Christmas Sets to Choose From
Every family has a different holiday style, so I wanted to offer more than one Christmas look. You’ll have six unique Christmas backdrops to choose from, including classic red, warm and cozy, bright and elegant, and fun setups for children.
You can select either one backdrop or two backdrops for your session. Choosing two sets gives you more variety and allows you to create two different looks during the same appointment.

What Should You Wear for Christmas Mini Sessions?
Your outfits can completely change the look of your Christmas portraits. Matching pajamas create a warm and playful feeling, while dresses, sweaters, and coordinated neutral outfits create a more classic family portrait.
Popular Christmas photo colors include:

• Holiday plaid and coordinating pajamas
You don’t have to dress everyone in identical clothing. Choosing two or three coordinating colors usually photographs beautifully and allows everyone to keep their own style.
What to Expect During Your Christmas Mini Session
Christmas Minis are short, organized sessions designed to give you beautiful holiday portraits without the time commitment of a full portrait session. Please text me upon arrival and wait until I say to come in.
When you come in, your selected set will be ready. I’ll guide your family through posing and help arrange everyone so the portraits feel natural and polished. We’ll capture a mixture of full family portraits and smaller groupings when time allows.
You’ll receive a private proof gallery within approximately one business week. After you select your included favorites, your chosen images will be professionally retouched and delivered within approximately one additional business week.

Christmas Mini Sessions are offered for a limited time, and popular evening and weekend appointments can fill quickly. Booking early gives you the best selection of dates and allows enough time to receive your portraits before ordering Christmas cards, prints, and gifts.
Sessions take place at my portrait studio in McAllen, Texas, conveniently located for families from Mission, Edinburg, Pharr, Sharyland, Alton, Palmview, Hidalgo, and throughout the Rio Grande Valley.

Are Christmas Minis available for families?
Yes! Christmas Minis are perfect for families, children, siblings, couples, maternity portraits, and individual holiday photos. Pricing includes four people if you want more included there is a fee per additional person.
Can I bring my pet?
Yes, pets are welcome with advance notice. Pets must be supervised, house-trained, and comfortable in a studio environment. A pet counts as a person (4 people are included in the price).
Will I receive every photograph taken?
Your package includes a specific number of professionally retouched digital images. You’ll select your favorites from a private proof gallery, and additional images may be purchased separately.
Where are the Christmas Mini Sessions held?
Sessions are held at the Portraits by Araceli studio in McAllen, Texas. The studio is gated, and complete arrival instructions will be provided before your appointment.
