Client Closet for Adults – What to Know Before You Borrow

At Portraits by Araceli, every detail matters—and that includes what you wear. Our exclusive collection of elegant gowns is available to clients offering a wide range of flattering styles to elevate your photoshoot.


How It Works

  • The dress will be provided upon your arrival for easy slip-in and slip-out convenience.
  • Each session includes one gown from our client closet.
  • Want to add variety? Additional dresses may be added for $25 each—just let me know on your questionnaire so I can update your invoice.
  • Dresses must be returned at the end of the session and cannot be taken off-site.


What to Wear Underneath

To ensure a seamless and flattering fit, please bring the following:

  • A nude strapless bra (especially for strapless or off-shoulder gowns)
  • Nude-colored boy shorts or full-coverage undergarments (especially for dresses with slits or sheer fabric)

Your comfort is my priority, so feel free to reach out if you have questions about how to prepare!


Styling Tips

  • Your outfit should complement the studio backdrop you’ve chosen—and vice versa. If you’re unsure, I’m happy to guide you.
  • Want help choosing your gown? I'm here to assist with suggestions that match your vision and the aesthetic you're going for.


What Should My Family Wear?

For partners, I recommend one of the following:

  • A classic combo of khaki pants with a white button-up shirt for a timeless, clean look.
  • Or, for a more elevated and formal style, partners are welcome to dress in a full suit and tie.
  • If your session features bold colors (like red), partners can opt for white, black, or a complementary matching tone for their shirt or tie to keep the overall look cohesive.

For children:

  • Boys can wear something similar to Dad—khakis and a neutral button-up work great.
  • Girls should wear outfits that complement your chosen gown. We also offer a small children’s client closet—you’re welcome to borrow a dress!
